Frank Verbrugge was trained as a product designer and worked for a large multinational for more than 14 years as a designer and later as a creative director.

Prompted by a need for new meaning and an old profound wish, he developed as a artist from 2014 and decided to focus on art full-time in 2022.

The appreciation for good design has not disappeared with that. His work visibly shows traces of his background and his artistic research clearly focuses mainly on form.

Unlike painting portraits and other figurative work where he deeply respects form, this is where he de-forms and invents and designs new forms from intuition and experimentation.
